Unique Value Propositions: temperature monitoring with panic alerts for sick babies, patients post-surgery and patients post-chemotherapy

Our contribution: ID, all hardware, firmware, apps and adhesives.

Why we did not productize this project: It was a case of opportunity cost. We met algorithm performance but we hit a wall in regulatory compliance as this product was classified as a Class 2 medical device. It was just not worth it at that point to spend $250K on testing, paperwork and a 510(k) application.

We learned a lot about healthcare, chemistry of adhesives and expanded our knowledge of all aspects of engineering related to wearable devices.
